Food Production - Work profile is related to preparation of food. You become a chef and work in Kitchen area. As you get promotion your work profile expands and you can become a head chef of a kitchen and can further become executive chef of all the kitchens of the Hotel. Promotions totally depend on your skill. F&B service - Work profile is related to restaurant management ( at a Restaurant manager level ). Generally it takes around 3 to 4 years for a fresher to become a Assistant restaurant manager ( promotions depend upon your skill )
It totally depend upon your area of interest as both the departments are good and offer ample avenues of learning and growth. If you are currently in 1st year of hotel management you will get more exposure during the internship and that internship experience will help you in taking the right decision. Thanks.
