As per any the latest information, no reduction is made in the CUSAT CAT 2024 syllabus. CUSAT CAT is the acronym of Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test. It is conducted for admission to various programmes viz. Engineering, Environmental Studies, Humanities, Law, Marine Sciences, Medical Sciences & Technology, Science, Social Sciences and Technology. The syllabus of CUSAT CAT includes chapters and topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics that are relevant from the examination point of view. CUSAT CAT syllabus is of Class 11 and Class 12 standard. Candidates must take a look at CUSAT syllabus prior to starting their preparation.

Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria like age limit, educational qualification, percentage, etc. to apply for CUSAT CAT 2024. The eligibility criteria for each courses are mentioned belowMarine Engineering - Secured 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognised Board. Studied in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in the qualifying examination. Secured minimum 50% in the English subject either in Class 10 or in Class 12 (applicable to all the categories). Candidates have to submit physical fitness and eye fitness certificates as well. The certificate should be obtained from Medical Examiners and approved by DG ShippingNaval Architecture & Ship Building -Scored 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 examination or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognised Board. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics should be the compulsory subjects along with the other subjects in the qualifying examination. Obtain 50% in the Mathematics subject. Must have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together. Instrumentation & Technology -Obtained 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together in the qualifying examination. Obtain 55% in the Mathematics subject. Polymer Science & Engineering -Passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as an optional subject or any other equivalent examination with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised Board.  Secured 50% in the Mathematics subject. There is no stipulated age limit to apply for the CUSAT CAT 2024 exam. 

Applicants must pass the CUSAT CAT exam in order to be considered for the CUSAT BTech programme. The CUSAT CAT 2024 exam is administered by the exam authorities online and lasts for three hours (a computer-based test). It is recommended that applicants review the CUSAT CAT exam pattern prior to beginning their study regimen. In addition to helping applicants improve their marks, the CUSAT exam structure also facilitates time management during exam preparation. The administration is anticipated to launch the CUSAT CAT 2024 registration process on the official website in January 2024.
