MBA is good if you are not doing it in India. But M.Tech is not bad too. There couldn't be any comparison or difference to be particular.

Depends on which branch you are opting for. For Marine Engineering and other such related courses, I would suggest SOE, but for Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Production, Electrical and other circuit branches, TKM is the best. TKM is much better than SOE in terms of academics, placements and most importantly the college life!

Exams held at CUSAT are not generic in nature as in other universities. You are supposed to have your syllabus thoroughly studied by some standard textbooks. After 2015 admission scheme, the grading system has changed, and now it's a little bit easier to score marks compared to the past.

Chances of your admission are less if you prefer to take mechanical engineering. But you can get other streams if there is less competition.
