Start with the basics: Earn your A+ certification and get a tech support position. After some experience and additional certification (network+ or CCNA) move up to a network support or administration role and then to network engineer after a few years. Hello,
You should option for Computer Engineering/ Software engineering if you are interested in cyber security. Cyber Security is a very promising field to dive into. Across industries cyber risk is a major concern as all the important data are becoming more and more in digital form. To protect from any fraud Cyber Security comes to play.
Growth is enormous in the field and is easy to dive into if you are genuinely interested.

Networking fundamentals
Familiarity with multiple versions of Windows
Familiarity with Linux is not necessary but recommended
Familiarity with VMware Workstation
