It is mandatory for those teachers who are teaching at elementary level. For secondary and higher secondary level, it is not mandatory. The duration of D.El.Ed is 2 years.

At a time you cannot pursue two courses under same or different universities, according to the rules of UGC. So you have to wait for completion of your B.Ed.

BSTC is renamed as D EL.Ed. BSTC stands for Basic School Teacher Course, its a 2-year course, for which students can take admission just after completing 10+2 standard. Every year a huge number of students appeared in bstc test at various examination centers conducted by the education department of conducting university.

You are eligible for D.El.Ed. For B.Ed, you need to score more than 50% in post graduation.
