BTech in Food Technology is better because it covers a wide range of food products, including fruits, vegetables, cereals, beverages, packaged foods, etc.It typically offers higher starting salaries due to the broader range of opportunities and higher demand in various sectors.Options for advanced studies and research are available. Candidates can specialise further in areas like food safety, food microbiology, food engineering and food packaging. Other than that can also seek a degree in B Tech in Food Science and Technology and B Tech in Dairy Technology.

The placement scenario for a diploma in Indian dairy (Dairy Technology) at SHUATS is very top-class and decent. According to my research, the college has a dedicated and independent placement cell that works very hard to ensure that students get placed in reputed organisations and top recruiter companies including Amul, Mother Dairy, and Parag Milk Foods. The placement rate is around 80 to 85% every year. The college also provides students with various internships and training programmes to give them practical experience which helps really in securing good placement in future. So overall placements are very good.

Hi, admission to BTech Dairy Technology courses is usually based on entrance exams like JEE Main, state-level engineering entrance exams, or the institute's own entrance exam. For MTech and PhD, candidates often need to qualify for national-level exams like GATE or the institute's entrance exam.Hope it resolved your query !!
