While the number of students is not explicitly mentioned on their official website, it is clear that the seat intake varies based on admission every year . I downloaded the official brochure for the year 2021 from basu patna website and it was mentioned that seat intakes for M.Tech in Dairy Chemistry is 2, M.Tech in Dairy Microbiology is 2 and M.Tech in Dairy Technology is 3 . And the criteria for admission is minimum 60% marks for general and BC, MBC category and minimum 55% marks for SC/ST category of students.

In a nutshell, getting admission to the B.Tech in Dairy Technology at BASU Patna is quite competitive as lots of students are trying to get shortlisted in merit list to get admission into the college . The BTech in Dairy Technology is available only in a very few universities in India .
