Dalhousie University awards millions in scholarships, bursaries and awards. The institute also offers over 2,000 entrance awards through the General Entrance Award application. Entrance awards are offered to students who are entering Dalhousie in the Fall term. These awards or accolades are based on academic achievement, leadership, extracurricular involvement, community service, financial need and cultural identity. However, there are certain entrance awards that do require a separate application. Everyone is eligible to apply for scholarships and the only criteria is that students generally have an 80% admission average. Dalhousie University admission requirements differ as per the programme opted by the student. The deadline to apply for admissions is Aug 31, 2024 for the Jan intake. Applicants must apply through the university portal and submit various documents before the deadline. However, Dalhousie University admission requirements for international students are as follows:   Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)   Minimum 70-75% overall average required for the selected program   Four-year bachelor's degree (for Master’s program)   Minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B average) in the last 60 credit hours of study (for master’s program)   Degree granted by a university of recognised standing   Proof of English language proficiency·       Study permit required to study in Canada
