DASA stands for Direct Admission of Students Abroad . It is a scheme from the Government of India to guarantee a 15% reserved seat for the NRI, PIO, OCI or other foreign students in the top engineering colleges like NITs, IITs or IIITs among many others . To know more about the DASA, candidates can refer to the official website of the Government of India  .

The subject and level of the course determine the syllabus for the entrance exam at Jamia Millia Islamia. In most cases, the entrance exam questions cover material from the syllabus up until the 12th grade for undergraduate programmes and up until graduation for graduate programmes. It is imperative for candidates to familiarise themselves with the prescribed syllabus for their degree well in advance of the exam. Each course syllabus is posted on the university website along with a prospectus that candidates can download. Through the internet, candidates are also advised of any changes made to the syllabus.

CIWG stands for Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries. CIWG is a category under the DASA scheme. It was started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, mainly for the children of Indian expatriates (NRIs, OCIs, and PIOs) in Gulf countries who wanted to study at the top engineering colleges, including IITs and NITs. The countries that are under CIWG are the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, and Oman.

The documents required while filling out the DASA UG application form are a passport, proof of date of birth, a mark sheet for Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12; Proof of 2 years of education (Class 11 and Class 12 or equivalent), CIWG quota documents, and a certificate from the company/organization as proof that the parent is working in the Gulf country.

No, DASA UG 2025 application form is made available through online mode on the official website. Candidates need to pay a non-refundable registration fee and tuition fee for the first semester along with the DASA UG 2025 application form. The tuition fee will be refunded to the candidates if they are not allotted seats.

Yes, the student is eligible for DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) and CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries) schemes. The eligibility criteria for DASA/CIWG scheme requires that the applicant must have qualified in 11th and 12th grade from a foreign country (including India) and must have passed the qualifying examination from abroad.
