Under the  DASA program, children of Indian Expatriates (NRIs, OCIs, and PIOs) living in Gulf nations can apply to NITs and IIITs under the CIWG category. A third of the DASA seats will be reserved, according to the CIWG scheme, for the children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries.

It is a national admission process that is held annually on a rotating basis by one of the member universities. The NIT, Raipur, India, will be in charge of organizing DASA UG 2024 this year. On the official website, online registration for the DASA UG 2024 is scheduled to begin during the second week of June 2024. The NIT Raipur will oversee DASA UG for this year. Counselling participants will get online access to the DASA 2024 application form. The top Indian universities offer undergraduate engineering and architecture degrees through the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) initiative. Applicants must have completed Class 12 coursework in mathematics, physics, and one of the following subjects: biology, chemistry, computer science, or biotechnology from an educational programme accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).  Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2025-26 and expecting their final results by September 30, 2025, may also apply.

In July 2024, the DASA UG 2024 preliminary round seat allocation results are expected to be released. The results of their seat allocation will only be seen to the candidates who have taken part. The deadline specified on the official DASA website or the timetable that will be made available there must be followed by the chosen candidates in order to secure their places.

On the official website, dasanit.org, the rank for DASA UG 2024 will be provisionally announced in July of that year. The JEE Main results will be used to determine the outcome. Furthermore, only students who completed and submitted their online registration form for DASA-2024 were given a DASA rank, which was based on the JEE Main rank announced by NTA.

DASA stands for Direct Admission of Students Abroad . It is a scheme from the Government of India to guarantee a 15% reserved seat for the NRI, PIO, OCI or other foreign students in the top engineering colleges like NITs, IITs or IIITs among many others . To know more about the DASA, candidates can refer to the official website of the Government of India  .

The DASA UG 2024 admissions will be coordinated by the National Institute of Technology Raipur (NITRR). This information can be found on the official DASA website. The website states that the Ministry of Education entrusted the coordination of the DASA UG admission process for the academic year 2024-25 to NIT Raipur.
