Candidates surpassed any other equivalent qualification permitted by the state Board of Technical training/better Secondary Board of Tamilnadu. Applicants belonging to communities aside from SC/ST should have handed the qualifying examination in no longer more than appearances. Candidates belonging to SC/ST have to have handed the qualifying exam in no longer greater than 3 appearances. For SC/ST candidates, a mere pass in the qualifying examination will suffice.
