You must first of all go through what data science is. As you have built your career in it, you should know everything about the same before entering into it. It is of course a good branch to go with.

CIT M.Sc CET (Coimbatore Institute of Technology Master of Science Common Entrance Test) is conducted by Coimbatore Institute of Technology to provide admission to candidates in five-year integrated MSc programmes offered in three specialisations -Software Systems, Data Science, Decision and Computing Sciences.
Currently, CIT M.Sc CET 2019 dates have not been released. However, the exam is likely to be conducted in the second week of June 2019.

Statistical machine learning uses the same math as data Science, but integrates it into algorithms that get better on their own. Artificial intelligence is the general field of "intelligent-seeming algorithms" of which machine learning is the leading frontier at the moment.
