As per the AIU (Association of Indian University) PGDM programm is not equivalent.
Also, PGDM programm is offered by institutes and now, DEB doesn't approve any institute to offer distance education from 2017.
You can refer proper MBA degree in Marketing.

When it comes to Government sector, State wise National TV broadcasting department recruits Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication holders. All India Radio also recruits this Diploma Degree holder.
There are a number of private news as well as other TV channels where one may find a job after finishing the course. One may also find a job in internet-based publishing houses. Advertising agencies also hire Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication holders. That depends if there is a tie-up with your college and DAV College which permits lateral entries in the 2nd semester. You should check with the relevant authorities in your college whether lateral entries are permitted in the 2nd semester to another college.
