Your son will have to fill up the form for COMEDK and according to his rank, he will have to select a college which is under COMEDK.

Fees for management quota in Dayananda Sagar is almost 1 lakh more from normal COMEDK fees. It was around 2.8-2.9 LPA two years back when i joined.

You can change but for that you will have to pay your course fee. Only then will you get the necessary documents for transfer.

The question you are asking here depends on what you are looking to choose as a career. If you are interested in shooting, avionics and related fields then yes, aeronautical engineering is useful and is the foundation for such careers.

DSCE is better than NMIT in terms of placements and infrastructure.

Both the colleges are not very much popular for aeronautical engineering, however DSCE is some how better than MVJCE.

Aeronautical engineering is a study about the design and systems of an aircraft. It involves practical and theoretical understanding of materials, assembling parts, testing and maintenance of aircrafts.

Civil engineers design, construct, supervise, operate, and maintain large construction projects and systems, including roads, and buildings.
Dayananda Sagar comes under the domain of top private colleges of Bangalore, but to be frank placements of civil engineering is not upto the mark.

Average package is Rs 3.5 lakhs for civil and highest package is Rs 8 lakhs.
