DCET is an entrance exam held for admissions into the 2nd-year undergraduate engineering programmes and 1st-year undergraduate architecture programmes offered under the lateral entry scheme. DCET is Diploma Common Entrance Test which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). These programmes are offered at day and evening engineering colleges located in Karnataka. Candidates must have passed a Diploma or equivalent exam to appear for DCET. DCET 2024 will be conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority in September 2024, tentatively.

However, based on previous year's data and trends, you may have a chance to get admission to a good engineering college for your preferred course with your DCET rank of 13600 in the SC category. You can check the list of engineering colleges in Karnataka and their previous year's cutoff ranks for your preferred course in the SC category to get an idea of the colleges where you may have a chance of getting admission. The fee structure for 80% in college and attended in DCET exam for BE Computer Science engineering students of Karnataka is as follows:
Tuition Fee: Rs. 1,10,000/-
Examination Fee: Rs. 3,000/-
Development Fee: Rs. 10,000/-
Other Fees: Rs. 5,000/-
Total Fee: Rs. 1,28,000/-. .
