Yes, you can have a lateral entry into SRM UNIVERSITY. You need to go through the SRMJEE exam to get into the lateral entry. But if you take my word don't go for lateral entry in SRM.

Before joining any course try to know number of vacancy in that field, many will tell you it is good branch but in real it is one of the worst branch, in government sector vacancy in automobile engineering almost nil, it will better to take Diploma in civil branch, huge vacancy for civil student in government sector, you can choose computer Science also.

Fees mainly vary depend on college to college and depending upon the facilities that college provided. Almost every Course of Du has average fees as compared to private college but yes may be high then other government college. But the quality education is incomparable that DU provides.
