Yes, starting 2023 academic year, the University of Delhi will only consider scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test-PG (CUET-PG) for admissions to post-graduate courses. This is the first time that post-graduate admissions to DU will be based on CUET-PG. The change in the admission process to postgraduate courses was proposed by the 10-member committee. Additionally, separate merit lists will also be prepared for the candidates who will clear the CUET PG 2023 exam. The university, in an official notification, also added that, "Before appearing for CUET-PG, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the course-specific eligibility". For this, candidates must check university's PG bulletin for information on selecting CUET test papers as per the requirements of the specific programmes. But, at first, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases. Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard.Step 2: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists which will be out on August 1, August 10 and August 22, 2023, respectively for all categories.The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & collegeIf they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.Step 3: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.

DU changed its admission process through the common national level entrance exams discontinuing the old admission process based on Class 12 and UG course scores for UG and PG courses, respectively. the university now considers CUET UG exam for admission to its UG courses, namely BA, BSc, BCom, BSc (Hons), BA (Hons and BCom (Hons). CUET stands for Common University Entrance Test, while CUCET stands for Central University Common Entrance Test. CUET is the revamped version of CUCET. This exam is now considered by over 100 central universities for admission to their undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For PG courses, namely MA, MSc and MCom, the university will be considering CUET PG conducted by NTA. 

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU. However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG). 

DU University registrations via CUET usually begins in February every year. Soon after the release of the notification, the CUET application process commences online. Candidates willing to appear for CUET 2025 exam must ensure to fill out the application form online when released. Followed by the application forms of CUET UG and CUET PG, DU starts the DU CSAS registration for final college and course allotment of students who qualify the exams. The process will began after the release of CUET-UG and CUET-PG results which are expected to release in July. 

To be eligible for BCom Prog. from DU, candidates must have completed their Class 12 with the following subject conditions:Combination 1: Any one language from List A along with one among Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1 ORCombination 2: Any one language from List A along with one among Accountancy/ Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1Additonally, students are also required to appear for CUET and have a valid score in the same exam for admission. As per the above eligibility, those who don't have Maths but have one among Applied Mathematics,Accountancy or Book Keeping are also eligible. 

A. The aspirants of BCom and BCom (Hons) are required to apply for CUET UG before registering on the DU portal. After registration for the exam, students must pay the registration fee which is as follows:CategoryCUET Application FeeGeneral INR 650OBC-NCL and EWSINR 600SC/ ST/ PwD/ Third GenderINR 550Outside IndiaINR 3,000Candidates also have to pay an additional application fee which is charged on account of DU CSAS registration after the result for CUET UG is out. It is INR 250 for General category students and INR 100 for SC/ST/PWD/EWS. In addition, there is a cancellation fee of INR 1000 for students who wish to cancel their enrolment. 

For admission in Delhi University for BCom, candidates have to follow the process laid down by the University which is to register for the CUET. Delhi University accept applications for UG programmes based on CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and final admission depends on the previous Class 12 scores and the score obtained by students in CUET.After the exam, candidates must register on CSAS portal of DU. The portal will ask about the top 10 colleges you prefer. Then the CUET scores are required to be uploaded online and the portal will show you the college that you are allotted by the university.Now, while the process of the university has changed, the competitiveness of the colleges allocated to the students under DU have not. Hence, it can  be considered that getting into a BCom college under DU for a General category student with 83 percent will be equally tough in 2024 as it was earlier. However, students with excellent CUET scores might stand a chance.  

At the undergraduate level, the University of Delhi offers full-time BCom and BCom (Hons) programmes which are considered two of the most competitive courses offered by the constituent colleges of the varsity. The duration of both programmes is three years. Admission to these courses was subject to merit in Class 12 till 2021. However, starting in 2022, admission for all the  UG courses at DU is based on CUET  (conducted by NTA). The university is not ranked for any major course such as BSc, however, it consistently gets ranked for the 'University' category by NIRF over the past years.
