The admission to Dental College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai, Bharati Vidyapeeth for BDS is fairly tough. Candidates must succeed in 10+2 with PCB and English and a minimum of 50% in PCB (40% for reserved categories for SC/ ST/OBC etc.). The admission is done based on the student performance in NEET UG examination.In order to pursue the course, they have to take admission through MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) only. The only professional Dental programme that is frequently chosen in India is BDS. Cadidates who are interested in becoming Dentists at either private or public hospitals must complete it. The only recognised professional Dental course in India is the 5-year undergraduate BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) programme.
