The eligibility criteria for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme at Dental College and Hospital, Pune, Bharati Vidyapeeth are as follows:Educational Requirements: Candidates must have finished their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as primary subjects. These subjects require a minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserved categories).Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.Admission to the BDS programme is determined by how well you perform in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). To be eligible, you must have passed the NEET-UG with the required cutoff scores.

First and foremost, one should have attained at least 17 years by December 31st in the year of entry. Secondarily, you must have completed your Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination or its equivalent with physics, chemistry, and biology as your main subjects along with compulsory English language studies. A minimum of 50% score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is required for general category candidates while scores ranging from 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is required of SC/ST/OBC candidates. Likewise, it is mandatory to appear in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Furthermore, candidates should either belong to Maharashtra state residence or they must pass HSC exam at an institution based in Maharashtra. The last but not least criterion is that one should be physically healthy so as to be able to provide a certificate issued by registered medical professionals and also a good conduct letter from former school.
