Yenepoya Dental College and Hospital does not offer direct admission. Aspirants seeking admission in BDS or MDS course need to qualify the entrance exam. The college accepts NEET-UG for BDS and NEET-PG for MDS courses. Besides, the selection for all other UG and Diploma courses is based on merit of the candidates in the qualifying exam. As far as the NEET exam pattern is concerned, there are 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology, out of which 180 questions need to be attempted. Aspirants with rank equal or above the NEET cutoff are offered seat in the BDS programme.

Students wishing to get the scholarship should be an under graduate student of BDS and, more importantly, an IDA Member. They must be among the first three rank holders in the respective BDS academic years.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery is conducted by NBE or National Board of Examination in online mode.

Students studied other than Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka need to produce eligibility certificate issued by RGUHS Karnataka at the time of MDS admission
