The NEET cutoff scores for BDS in 2022 were 720–138 for candidates in the general category, 137–108 for those in the SC/ST/OBC category, and 137–108 for students with disabilities. The percentile for NEET qualifying and the cutoff for NEET in 2023 50 and 720-13 are the required marks for General/EWS, 40 and 136-107 for OBC/SC/ST, 45 and 136-121 for General/EWS-PwD, 40 and 120-107 for SC-PwD/OBC-PwD, and 40 and 120-108 for ST-PwD, respectively. Because BDS is more competitive than MBBS, it typically has a lower cutoff. It was discovered that a minimum NEET score of 400 is sufficient to earn a BDS from any reputable college in India.

Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, Periodontology, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Radiology, and many more dental specialties are among those in which the College offers highly competent training. There are fourteen courses available in one stream. There are 160 seats available in total, with 100 designated for BDS. The placement rate at the DY Patil Dental College Pune MDS placements in 2022 was 100%, according to the NIRF report 2023 from the college. Both B.Sc and BDS programs at Baba Farid University seem to have decent placement prospects, albeit in different domains.For B.Sc, the college maintains strong connections with reputed companies, facilitating smooth placements for students in their fourth year. Graduates secure positions in esteemed organizations such as Fortis Hospital, Max Hospital, Vedanta, and others. The highest offered salary package is 3.6 LPA, with a minimum package of 2.3 LPA.On the other hand, BDS, being a dental program, exhibits excellent placement opportunities in the field of dentistry. Graduates often pursue foreign courses, engage in private practice, or opt for further studies such as master's programs.
