B.Sc Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Science has a fixed cut off for its candidates who are looking to apply. The cut-off marks required is 60% in your class 12. If you belong to the SC, ST, OBC and other such categories, there is a relaxation of 5% in the cut-off marks, being 55%. If you are completing your class 12 in the CBSE  board, then the equivalent cut-off CGPA will be 6.0 for general and 5.5 for other categories.

The Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (CEBS) is an autonomous college.It is a very well-equipped and advanced college.The College administration has developed it's courses in such a structure so that their students could increase their power of problem solving abilities, analytical views, etc.As the courses are based on practical features, so they have included all kinds of programs like 'Live telecasts of important scientific events', 'documentaries', ' 'biopic' etc.; under CEBS Science Club.This is undoubtedly a good college.
