Design Entrance Exam

The NIFT Entrance Exam 2025 consists of two parts:General Ability Test (GAT):Quantitative Ability: Number operations, algebra.Communication Ability: Vocabulary, grammar.English Comprehension: Passage-based questions.Analytical Ability: Logical reasoning.General Knowledge & Current Affairs: Fashion industry knowledge and current events.Creative Ability Test (CAT):The aspect of design at NIFT requires candidates to demonstrate creative approaches alongside interpretation of design principles.Design Test Components Include: Color Theory along with Observation Abilities and Color Combination Skills.Illustration Skills: Sketching and visual representation.The official NIFT syllabus contains the complete information that candidates require.

Candidates aspiring to pursue BFTech in Apparel Production at NIFT Patna must begin the admission process with applying online for the NIFT entrance exam. For this, they must visit the admission portal on the official website of NIFT. After completing the registration process, they can proceed to fill out the application form and submitting the application fee. The next step is to appear for the entrance test. The institute will releases a merit list based on the entrance exam results. Shortlisted candidates are required to register for the common NIFT counselling for seat allotment. For this, applicants must upload the required documents on the admission portal. Those who manage to clear the required NIFT Patna BFTech cut-off are called for document verification. Candidates found eligible after the document verification must submit the applicable NIFT Patna fees for BFTech.

Once the applicants have qualified the entrance exam, they must upload the specified documents on the admission portal. After the final selection, candidates must report to the NIFT Patna campus for physical verification of documents.  NIFT Patna grants BFTech admission to candidates who are eligible as per the below-given eligibility criteria:Candidate must be an Indian CitizenCandidate must not have exceeded the age of 25 years as of August 01 of the year of admission (a relaxation of five years in the upper age limit may be provided to candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category)Candidates must have passed Class 12 (with Mathematics) from a recognised board/council; or Senior Secondary School examination of the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects (including Mathematics); or a three/four-year AICTE-approved Diploma examination (in any branch of Engineering)
