For Bachelor of Design course - student needs to give CAT & GAT.
For Bachelor of Fashion Technology course - student needs to give only the GAT.
For Bachelor of Fashion Technology course, there is no situation test and admission is only via GAT.

If you want to take admission in NIFT, then you have to appear in the entrance exams. If you clear the entrance exams, then you will get admission in UG and PG courses in NIFT.

Part A consists of visualization and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, etc.
PART B consists of drawing, creativity, communication skills.

Passing marks may vary every year.
As you might know, NIFT entrance consist of Gat-30% Cat-50% & Situation Test-20%
So, if u have scored well in written exam(GAT + CAT) you can easily get among top 2000 & get selected for situation test. Your score in situation test will actually decide your rank.
