The specific dates for the NID DAT (National Institute of Design Aptitude Test) 2024 Studio Test for the B.Des programme have not been announced. There will be several stages to the NIFT 2024 exam. For example, in order to be admitted to the B. Des programme, an applicant must first pass the written GAT and CAT tests. If they are selected for further consideration, they must then take a Situation Test. Candidates for M.Des who make the short list must attend a personal interview rather than the situation test. Be aware that each test component will be assigned a weight when preparing the NIFT 2024 final result. For the B. Des programme, the final score will be determined by allocating 50% of the weight to the CAT, 30% to the GAT, and 20% to the Situation Test. The CAT is worth 40% of the total weight for the M.Des programme, while the GAT and personal interview are worth 30% each.

On April 28, 2024, the National Institute of Design (NID) held the Studio Test for the B. Des programme. There was no online version of the Studio Test. It should be noted that, in contrast to M.Des applicants, B. Des candidates are not obliged to attend any interviews. On April 15, 2024, admit cards for the Studio Test became available. The candidate was required to bring their valid photo ID and their admit card to the exam centre on the day of the studio test. The second part of the two-stage NID entrance procedure is the Studio Test, also known as the Mains. The candidate's performance in the DAT Mains and DAT Prelims is taken into account while preparing the final NID DAT 2024 results.

The best amount of time for a candidate to prepare for the NID DAT 2024 exam would be about six months. This amount of time will enable the candidate to thoroughly cover every subject and efficiently be ready for the test. Even so, a candidate can still study for the test in three months or fewer provided they possess a firm grasp of the principles and foundational ideas. However, as the amount of time decreases, one will need to be more careful and economical with each day and hour. It will be beneficial to have a clear schedule in place. The schedule may include items such as daily reading and revision assignments, sample papers to be completed, etc.
