The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has a minimum 50% score in class X and XII for admission to its B.Des program. Students who have valid scores from JEE MAIN, UCEED, NIFT, or NID are also eligible. Students with above eligible scores are invited to an interview and portfolio presentation.  The B.Des programme is a four-year, full-time undergraduate degree program. It offers specializations such as fashion designing, interior designing, accessory designing, and textile designing.

The UPES School of Design accepts the following entrance exams for admission to B.Des:JEE MainCUETNIFT Entrance ExamNID Entrance ExamUCEEDUPES DAT  Candidates must have at least 50% marks in Class 12 and 50% marks in Class 10.  UPES also has a non-exam pathway for admission to B.Des:Board Merit of at least 60% marks in class X and XII (any stream)Minimum 50% marks in class X and XII with valid JEE MAIN/UCEED/NID/NIFT scores  Students who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to an interview and portfolio presentation.

 UPES School of Design is a good college. It offers placement assistance and the highest package offered is INR 12.5 LPA.  Some say that UPES is an excellent choice for those who want to pursue a career in design. The minimum cutoff for admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme at UPES School of Design in 2024 is 50% marks in classes X and XII in any stream.  To be eligible for admission, candidates must also have valid JEE MAIN/UCEED/NIFT/NID scores. For the Non-Examination Pathway, candidates must have a minimum board merit of 65% marks at the higher and senior secondary level.  In addition to the written test, candidates may need to appear for further rounds of admission, such as a situation test, group discussion, and personal interview

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Design (M.Des) programme at the UPES School of Design,  you must have a minimum of 50% marks in both class 10 and class 12. You must also have a minimum of 50% marks in your bachelor's degree in design, engineering, architecture, or interior design. Alternatively, you can have a minimum of 2 years of M.Sc./MTech in computer Science and engineering.  Admission to the programme is based on a valid UPES Design Aptitude Test (UPES-DAT) score, a personal interview, and a portfolio presentation.
