Here are the deadlines for applying to Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) as an international student:Undergraduate Early Action Deadline: November 1Undergraduate Regular Application Deadline: January 16Graduate Application Deadline: January 5, 2024International students should not send I-20 application materials until they are admitted to RISD. After receiving the I-20 form, students pay a SEVIS I-901 fee and schedule a visa interview at their the nearest US embassy or consulate.

No, RISD requires a minimum result of 93 on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or 6.5 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) for applicants who speak English as a second language, including US citizens. All applicants who speak English as a second language, including US citizens, must submit results from one of these tests. RISD does not accept other English proficiency tests.
