The CEED exam is an entrance exam that is conducted in computer-based mode. It is conducted to evaluate candidates' aptitude in the field of design and has two parts, Part A consists of multiple-choice questions and numerical answer type questions measuring general awareness, visualisation, and logical thinking and Part B consist subjective questions requiring candidates to sketch or develop designs. To be selected for the BDes prorgamme, applicants must clear the Aptitude Test and the interview stage. The registration fee is adjusted with the confirmation fee to be paid during the admission process. However, if the candidates are not able to qualify in both the entrance test and the interview round, the university reserves the right to reject the admission confirmation. Additionally, it is also essential for the candidates that they must fill out the application identically as per their personal documents to confirm their verification process.

The selection of the candidates is based on the entrance exam and performance in the PI round. Upon selection, they are required to submit the application fee. The payment mode is available in online and offline mode. The fee can be paid offline through DD/NEFT/RTGS at the Accounts Office.
