The tuition fee for BA at Dibrugarh University is INR 21,000. On the other hand, the BA fee at Kaziranga University is INR 2.4 Lakh. Hence, Dibrugarh University is more economical than Kaziranga University for pursuing BA. The reason for this could be the fact that Dibrugarh University is a state university while Kaziranga University is a private university. Seats are allotted to the applicants on the basis of their merit in Class 12 from a recognised board. The total number of BTech seats at Dibrugarh University is 271. This is further divided across the four specialisations offered at the university. These seats are allotted to the applicants who fulfill the Dibrugarh University BTech eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria requires the candidates to have scored at least 45% (40% for reserved category) in the three cumpolsory subjects in Class 12. The online applications for BTech at Dibrugarh University started on 16 May 2024. Only the candidates who have applied for JEE (Main)/Assam CEE can submite their online applications through the admission portal on the university's official website. The process will continue till 30 June 2024. The date has been notified by the university on their official website. It is still subject to change.

Dibrugarh University accepts the exam scores of two entance exams for admitting students to its BTech programmes. These exams are JEE (Main) and Assam CEE (Engineering). A candidate with a valid score in any one of the two mentioned exam is eligible for admission to the BTech programmes of Dibrugarh University. However, candidates applying with Assam CEE scores must have the permanent residence certificate of Assam. Hence, JEE (Main) becomes mandatory for the applicants who do not have a permanent residence certificate of Assam.
