Yes, you will be admitted directly in the second year of engineering after you complete post SSC Diploma in engineering (polytechnic) from DTE recognised institute.DTE every year conducts Central Admission Process (CAP) for such lateral entry. They start this process as soon as all the universities from Maharashtra announces their first year engineering results or just after first year engineering admission process completes. Normally it is observed that every non-minority college with 60 intakes has minimum of 12 seats reserved for Diploma holders.
