The course focuses on the causes of disasters and how to minimise their impact. The course enables the student to learn different areas of disaster management, which includes management of the situation, response to the needs of the people and the area, evacuation process, distribution of food and medical care for the injured people.
During the course, the student will be introduced to environmental systems, eld operations and organisational management, and as disaster management.
There are good employment opportunities the government as well as in private organizations.

My point is that, instead of studying M.Sc in Disaster Management in TISS, I would recommend you to study M.Sc in Geoinformatics or Geosciences at IIRS.if you are eligible. That is the best option. If you are not eligible for these courses, then you can study MA Natural Resources and Governance or MA Rural Development at TISS. These courses will prepare you for 'redevelopment after disaster'.
