Hello Kundan,
There cannot be short duration B.Tech as compared with normal course. Distance education in fact may involve a little more time. But you must do it. It will enhance your employability.

Distance learning engineering is not offered by any university as Ministry of HRD and AICTE has banned it and if you are getting it from somewhere, the degree is definitely fake and unrecognized.

As per AICTE guidelines and ministry of HRD circular of 2010, all engineering programmes in distance mode has been banned and are not allowed now. If someone offer you distance engineering degree or Diploma, mostly they are fake and your such degree won't have any value. You have to do it full time through campus only.

B.Tech from an engineering college provides an access to good teaching faculty and opportunities for good marks in internal assessment, therefore, increasing probability of scoring better marks in comparison to marks you may get in AMIE with similar efforts.

AMIE is a very good option for any body who wants to become an engineer by distance learning mode. As per MHRD, AMIE is equivalent to B.Tech for government jobs and higher studies in Indian universities.
