GRE and IELTS are both popular requirements for any form of study you wish to pursue along with the additional work experience that may be required. If you believe you're falling short on the experience front, my best suggestion to you would be to enroll yourself in a form of study which would then allow you to scale up to a PR and a job opportunity in Canada. One of the interesting one's that I recently encountered is this Study & Work programme where you basically get to do a course while earning part-time and once you finish the course, you can work full time for about 6 months.

If the question is about pursuing Polytechnic in a different domain altogether, then it is my advice to choose a stream in which a person wants to establish a career in and then proceed further. Pursuing 2 different courses in different domains rarely leads to something good and mostly results in the career path going astray. Therefore, I would advice to first determine which domain a person wants to establish a career in, compare the syllabus of the various courses in the domain and then take a decision a

I will suggest you not to pursue any Bachelor course from distance learning, as they have less value as compared to a full time degree. If you are able to afford regular college fee then take admission into that, BCA is a practical course which requires proper guidance as it includes Programming Languages, which are not understandable without any proper guidance. And, companies also avoids candidates with distance learning degrees.
