You are eligible for admission to BCA at IGNOU . As you are Humanities student, you will be required to take additional course on Maths during the course.

Since you have completed 12th, presuming you have good marks, you will be eligible for a regular BCA. But being a 3 year recognised polytechnic diploma holder, you may opt for lateral entry admissions to a B Tech programme. You will have to clear state level lateral entry eligibility tests. Lateral entry admission is also offered to diploma holders for their BCA programmes in many universities and institutes such as IIIT.

Dear Student,
As per your degree, it is almost equivalent. But BCA is a technical subject and if you are doing this course regularly, then you learn more and get practical knowledge perfectly and better job opportunities.

Hi Paras,
The minimum eligibility to opt for BCA is pass in 10+2 exam or passed in diploma, so in any case you have to complete your polytechnic first than opt for BCA.

Abhishek, in case you've been good in programming then go for IT. If you've not been good then take a relook at your career and move to something else like networking or maybe even design for instance. If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field.
