Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) or Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) are both management courses at Masters level. Both the courses have a commercial orientation and it's difficult to differentiate between the two. MBA and PGDM are both business orientated courses.The main aim of the courses is to equip a person who wants to move up in the hierarchy and enter in to the management field, says Shiksha expert Nikhilesh Mathur. You need to have 3+ years work experience to enroll for a distance MBA programme. I would also advice you to explore Executive MBA as an option as it is of shorter duration and the curriculum is also more relevant to work life.

Since you are MCA, keeping in mind your area of work, you can decide the specialisation of MBA. In case you are employed, then you can also explore Executive MBA.

For pursuing part-time /correspondence MBA, you need to fulfil the following conditions:
1. You need to be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks.
2. You need to have a work experience of minimum 3 years in case you are gainfully employed then another option that you can consider is Executive MBA.

Yes, Xavier's is one top institution for MBA studies. All the courses are accredited by UGC and for distance it is approved by DDE (Directorate of Distance Education). It will fetch you job until these boards are recognizing your certifications. Dual Specialization is the best way to hold interest in two different fields in one course.
