There are about 7 Diploma in distance Engineering colleges in Hyderabad. Of these,  3 colleges are privately owned and 2 colleges are owned by public/government organisations. Students can secure admission after passing Class 12 boards or merit-based. No, there is no provision for pursuing B.Sc Optometry in Bharathiar University as it only offers full time B.Sc in Optometry programme. So, if you want to pursue B.Sc in Optometry through Distance learning you cannot do it in Bharathiar University instead you can do it on IGNOU (India Gandhi National Open University).

The eligibility criteria for the Distance / Correspondence BTech course may differ from college to college. However, the basic eligibility criteria for Distance / Correspondence Diploma BTech courses in Maharashtra are as follows. The candidates:Must have passed Class 12 with a minimum 60% aggregate from a recognised board with Physics,  Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects (the pass percentage may vary in different colleges).A candidate who has completed a Diploma from a recognised board/ university/ institute can also apply.
