Regular academic programs and distance education programs are distinctly different. If you want to switch from the regular degree programme to the distance education programs, you have to withdraw from the regular degree programme and join the distance education programs by applying anew. Also, AICTE does not recognize technical qualifications except for MBA and MCA acquired through distance learning. Hence, BE and B.Tech programs are not recognised via distance learning.
