Aspirants need to pass BSc IT, BCA, BSc Computer Science or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for OBC/ EWS/ PwD) to apply for Institute of Distance and Open Learning, Mumbai University MCA programme. Candidates who have completed BSc/ BCom/ BA with Mathematics at Class 12 or graduate level with at least 50% aggregate can also apply.

Institute of Distance and Open Learning, Mumbai University conducts entrance exam for admission to MCA and MMS courses. IDOL MCA entrance exam is conducted for a duration of one hour.
