I understand your angst. But I hope you appreciate that any specialisation in nursing can not be done via correspondence. However, if you want to keep yourself occupied then I would suggest you to check different courses offered by IGNOU. You may find one that you like.

Distance or regular mode education depend on your career goals. If you want to do job with your education than distance mode education will be the best fit.
Through regular mode, you would have many factors:
1. Internship and placement opportunities.
2. Case studies.
3. Interaction with faculties and companies top management.
4. Practical approach for study.
5. Study abroad options.
So, you should decide the career path according to your caliber and interest.
All the best.

You can check the recognition and approval of the particular university in UGC website or Distance learning council. If the University name is mentioned there then no need to approach HRD. If the university is listed under fake university then you may have to complain to HRD Ministry or file a legal case for the same.
All the best.

I would recommend this programme. You should go for the same in regular mode due to the complex course module, need for practical experience, lab work and interaction with faculty members. You will find internship opportunities in the regular mode only.
All the best.
