The fee structure at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) is around INR 11.07 Lacs for the entire B.Tech course. In contrast, DIT University charges approximately between INR 4.5 Lacs and INR 6 Lacs for a B.Tech course. Thus, RGIPT has become a far more expensive option than DIT University.It is a matter of choice between two options: RGIPT, by its reputed name, is one of the very few institutes devoting attention to petroleum and energy in the country whereas DIT University sees a wider range of disciplines across engineering streams. Depending on one's draw or budget, the choice lies.

DIT University BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters at the UG level. The UG-level course is offered across different specialisations. The university admits candidates to the BTech courses based on JEE scores/merit in Class 12.Some of the specialisations in which the course is offered are Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. The university also offers lateral entry to BTech courses.
