Hi.DJ Academy of Design is one of the units of the GKD Charity Trust set up in 1983. Located in Coimbatore, the institute has a collaboration with Alagappa University. DJ Academy of Design is also a member of the World Design Organisation and Association of Designers of India.DJ Academy of Design offers both BDes and MDes programs, with admissions determined through entrance exams. Facilities: The academy is equipped with modern facilities, including design studios, workshops, and labs that support various design disciplines.Industry Connections: DJAD often collaborates with industry professionals and organizations, providing students with exposure to real-world scenarios and potential career opportunities.Thanks 

Hi. Entrance exams are accepted by DJ Academy Of Design for admission to M.Des:Enrollment into the Postgraduate Programme is determined by the scores from the Undergraduation examination, performance in the DJAD Entrance Exam for Design 2023 (DEED 2024), and the Personal Interview at DJAD, Coimbatore. DEED 2024 and the Personal Interview assess applicants’ design aptitude, evaluating skills in Sketching, Visualisation, Creativity, and Problem-solving.During the interview, candidates are required to present a Work Portfolio showcasing their creative endeavors, such as drawings, paintings, photographs, films/videos, craftwork, projects, models, etc.Thanks.  

The placement cell of DJ Academy Of Design is always active in promoting internships and final project placements, particularly through the third year of their course. In the B.Des in Communication Design, for instance, the trainees have had potential places in Infosys, HCL, TCS, and Funskool, among others. In some reviews, though, students have not been given placements constantly during summer internships at the end of the third year.All in all, placement ratings are mixed; some students raised questions as to whether the placement process would actually work for them and what type of jobs they were going to get, fairly slanted on the side of corporate rather than creative studios.

DJ Academy of Design presents the following set of undergraduate and postgraduate programs:B.Des: The total tuition fee for the B.Des course is around INR 16.1 lakh. The courses include specialisations in industrial design, communication design, user experience design, and animation & filmmaking.M.Des: The tuition fee for M.Des courses will be around INR 8.9 lakhs, and the specializations available in it are in the form of industrial design, communication design, and user experience design.Eligibility for B. Des is to pass from Class 12 under a recognised council in any field with a minimum aggregate mark of 50%. M.Des requires a graduation degree along with the same minimum percentage. Admission is purely on merit at the DJAD Entrance Exam on Design, DEED, and personal interviews conducted by the academy.
