No,  A doctorate of Medicine (DM in Medical) does not perform surgery. A DM is a post-master of Medicine (MD) degree that involves advanced study and research in a specialised area of medicine.

No, you cannot directly pursue a DM (Doctorate of Medicine) after completing MBBS. DM is a super-specialty course that requires candidates to first complete an MD (Doctor of Medicine) in a relevant medical field.After obtaining an MD, you can then apply for a DM in Medical in your chosen super-specialty.
