I would say you should join IIT Kanpur. IIT Kanpur placement stats are good and programming culture is also great there. IIT Roorkee is also nice. If you want to consider the International ranking also IIT Kanpur is above the IIT Roorkee. IIT Kanpur campus is also great.

You are having good chances to get admission, attempt the interview, and give your best. Won't worry a lot. All the best for your future.

You can get a number of jobs as you have chosen a great course.

 Most of the IITs now offer Direct Phd as well as Phd after your masters. For direct Phd: After completing your Bachelors degree in relevant field you are required to appear a National Level Competitive Exam (GATE, JAM, CSIR etc). with 75% marks in bachelors or a CGPA of 7.5 or above. Admission After Master's degree in Engineering/Technology (ME/MS/MTech) with minimum 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 or equivalent. Master's degree in science (MSc) with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 or equivalent with NET (CSIR/UGC) or GATE score.

In order to pursue IIT, there is a requirement of Math with Science in intermediate is compulsory. Good luck.

Hello Akshay, chances of conversion totally depend on your GD-PI performance on the day. The various weights assigned to the stages in the process are as follows :
1. CAT percentile: 65%.
2. PI: 20%.
3. GD:10%.
4. Work experience: 5%.
