In DBIT, Mumbai, the students can expect a pretty good B.Tech with fine infrastructure comprising well-equipped labs, a library, and sports. The placement records of the college are also good with around 70-75% on-campus placement. Thus, it can be concluded that there is decent teaching and decent campus life, which is recommendable for engineering students.

DBIT, Mumbai would fall into the category of Tier 2 institutions. Although well-renowned within Mumbai and affording better education in engineering and technology, it is not recognised at the national level for its research and academics, like any Tier 1 institution such as the IITs or NITs. It has good infrastructure, faculties, and even good placements, but it lacks the overall prestige of being high-ranking Tier 1.
