The dress code at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology is any formal or decent dress to be worn. The T shirts should not contain any logos. Girls and Boys should not wear torn jeans. Short tops and sleeveless dresses are not allowed. Otherwise lab uniform should be worn for lab classes.

Many technical events related to your respective branch do happen in Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology. This happens twice or trice every semester. One such event is Interuptt. They also conduct various exhibitions every semester which shows the working of modern technologies such as AI, Robotics and machine learning. Several events where students show their technical skills can be seen.

Yes, there are many PGs available in walking distance from Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology. The prices are also quite affordable. One more good thing is that the Government BCM hostels are also nearby which are for free of cost. Most of the students of this college stay there.

The CGPA in Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology is calculated according to the rules given by the VTU, Belagavi. The Cumulative Grade Point Average is calculated on the 10 point grading scale in which 10 denotes as outstanding, good, average, pass and fail. For each semester SGPA is calculated and for full course it is CGPA. Percentage is calculated by multiplying the CGPA in 10. Thus, scoring good marks in high credit subject would lead to a good CGPA.

The fee for various B.Tech courses in Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology depends on the mode of admission. If you get admitted through KCET DCET examinations, the fee is about 1 L per annum. However, if you get admitted through management quota it ranges from 2.5-3L per annum. And for COMEDK is also about 2 Lacs per annum.

Hostels at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology is an average one. Building is good but it's not well ventilated. In hostels Wi-Fi is available for students. We have one hostels for both boys and girls, each with triple, and four sharing options. Every room has the basic essentials like a B.Ed chair, table, wardrobe. Food is also provided three times a day. Rooms are cleaned on regular basis.

Mess food in the hostels of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology is not up to the mark. If you already have an experience of living in an hostel, then you may know how the hostel foods would be. Otherwise, you have to adjust. It's quite average and adjustable. They offer three times food which is self served by students and they offer coffee/tea/milk as well.

For students who are joining newly for the first year at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, I would say you must develop a good conversation skills, have a friendly relationship with the faculty members and your seniors. Keep updated with the various things happening in your college. Keep studying regularly to avoid last minute stress and tension. Participate in various activities for your self development.

Seat reservations in Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology is according to the government rules. Here, about 50 per cent of seats are reserved for KEA candidates, remaining to COMEDK and Management quota. The Karnataka candidates get the first preference as per government rules.
