If someone fails, the internal exam in Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute (DYPBBI) then depending upon the nature of faculty member the internal exam may be conducted for that particular student on his or her request.

At Dr D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute (DYPBBI), If someone misses the internal exam because of some medical emergency or any other appropriate reason then the exam for that particular student can be conducted by that particular faculty. The internal examination would be for 20 % marks.

At DYPBBI, we celebrate a college fest called as cytosol which lasts for around 4-5 days in which we have Bollywood day, traditional day, western day, Main event, Mismatch day. Also the sports event is organised where both indoor and outdoor sports competitions are organised and students talent is encouraged.

In Biotech, there are 3 courses available
1. M.Tech Integrated Degree in Biotechnology (Intake is of 30 students)
2. B.Tech Biotechnology (intake is of 60 students)
3. B.Tech Medical Biotechnology (intake is of 90 students). So, in total 180 students per year are there.

At Dr D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute, they provide you the college uniform which you have to wear on specific events like if you are going to attend international conferences and paper presentation. And during regular college days casuals are allowed. At the fresher's party, the dress code for the students was as per the theme- Denims and dresses, cool shades and casual flip-flops.

Yes, if the seats are available then you can get direct admission or else you have to give their entrance test named as AIBTCET. In Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute (DYPBBI), candidates must have received at least 50% in their 10+2 or equivalent exam to get admission in the college. DYPBBI's B.Sc. and M.Sc. admission is based on performance in the entrance test administered by the Institute. Candidate may apply through institution website : - https://biotech.dpu.edu.in/

It's quite awesome there, the teachers and non-teaching staff is so supportive and inspiring. The environment is quite cool so one can adjust easily. It also has amazing facilities like- the Library , it also has personal computers with internet & Wi-Fi to access worldwide literature & databases.
The institute also has an In-Campus Hostel with so many facilities

There are 2 Campus hostels one for girls and other one for boys. Apart from these Campus hostels various PGs are also available nearer to the college like IVY league house, Hour and many more in bhumkar chowk and there are also flats available at the backside of college building like palladio, nook, etc. So no need to worry for accommodation.

Admissions are done through All India Common Entrance Test conducted by Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune
Entry Qualification: 12th standard. , HSC, CBSE with Physics Chemistry Biology taken together with 45% marks for general category and 40% for reserved category.
