Dr. MGR Institute would be a better choice. The packages of both the colleges are comparable, but the MGR college would provide a better campus life to you as it has wifi campus and well-equipped auditoriums unlike the MCE college which does not has any of these. Since it is very older than MCE, there is a better alumni network for the college. So, you can get better recommendations when you jump into internships and colleges. If you are getting same branch in both the colleges, than surely Dr MGR is the one you should go to.Thank you.

The cutoff trend for MBBS at Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute has been increasing in the recent years. In 2023, it increased to 1218878. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Yes, to get admission at Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute for BTech aspirants need to have valid score of AIEEE or MGREEE followed by CSAB counseeling. In order to get admission to BTech full-time course, the student needs to qualify for Class 12 or equivalent with 45% aggregate. Further, in Class12 the Maths/Physics/Chemistry or Biology should be the compulsory subjects.

However, in 2022, as per NIRF report, the BTech ranking was 223 at Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute. As of now, the NIRF report 2023 for BTech course at Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute is not released.
