The qualification and experience of the faculty of Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering are regarded as rather satisfactory. As a result, the qualification for admission to B.E./B.Tech in Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering is through TNEA registration. The application period normally takes between May and June. An aspirant must have passed the 10+2 examination with not less than 50% in the equal discipline. After registration candidates should undergo counselling as per their marks and ranking for admission to TNEA course. The last criterion is based on the cutoff ranks that differ with different courses. Students need to produce other requirements and pay other charges during counseling to secure the seat of their choice.

The TNEA cutoff for this college is different for each course as well as for each category. Interests for premier courses like BE Computer Science Engineering, they were offering the same seats at almost 25k rank in the 2024 round while for BE Electronics and Communication Engineering, it was first round cutoff at almost 63k ranks. In cases of relatively new courses such as Artificial Intelligence as well as Data Science, the cutoff was way past 67000. The cutoffs vary depending on the number of seats, number of students and the courses being offered, to name a few, each year it does have slight variations.

The present study is the students perception of the food quality in the hostel mess of Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering, which is quite moderate. The meals may be healthful and filling but has varying reports on facets that concern palatability and food choice. Learners have mentioned that the menu can be monotonous, and the food may sometimes be almost tasteless. But, the pantry or mess and overall hygiene standards are normally preserved well.
