DTU - Delhi Technological University

Nine years before the first IIT was founded at Kharagpur in 1950, Delhi Technological University (DTU), originally known as Delhi College of Engineering, was founded in 1941. IITs promote a set of universities with an NAAC ranking of "A" or higher. Additionally, DTU is ranked 'A' by the NAAC. Both colleges offer their students a wide range of UG and PG courses along with fantastic placement chances. The top package available at DTU for the 2021–2022 academic year was INR 1.8 CPA, whereas the highest packages at IIT consistently surpass INR 1 CPA. It is safe to conclude that DTU and IITs are equivalent when comparing all of these factors.

However, NIT Jamshedpur is also respected, especially in core engineering fields, and offers a good return on investment due to lower fees (around INR 1.25 Lacs per year) compared to DTU's higher tuition (approximately INR 1.9 Lacs per year).
