You have not mentioned the name of any other college to which I have to compare DTU. But overall the placements of DTU are excellent. Almost everyone who is eligible gets placed and with quite a good package. The average in all the branches is approximately Rs 10 lakhs and rises for most of the branches. Get back to me with the name of the college for specific answer. Please upvote. :)

As you are from Delhi 85% seats are reserved along with defense quota, if you manage to score good grades then there will be a possibility to get a seat.

DTU, NSIT, IIITs have their own common admission counselling called JAC which starts from the end of May.

You will need to tell me your state of eligibility, your category of reservation and preferred branch if any, then I will be able to tell you the cut off score. Get back to me with these details and I will reply back to you. By the way for general category, and outside Delhi almost all the branches get exhausted by 5000 rank to give you a perspective. It is a very good college. They focus on the dual specialization in first semester. In third semester, they provide IT management, supply chain management and knowledge and technology management. The placement record is also good.

For general, it goes up to 85 percentile and for OBC it goes up to 75-80 percentile. These figures are taken from the previous year's results. So, it may change depending on the number of students applied for it.

Admission in MBA at DTU is based on CAT results and qualifying examination. The eligibility criteria is as follows:
BE / B.Tech in any branch of Engineering/ Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or 1st class Masters Degree in any branch of Physical/ Chemical/ Mathematical Science like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operation Research, Computation/Information Science or Masters Degree in Commerce, Economics. Yes, it is. But you can also try IITs. I have seen IIT students involve more in research work than any other universities. You can also try VIT, Vellore for updated syllabus and better research work on Mechanical engineering.
